ISO/TS 15066 was published in 2016 to address the new field of safety requirements for cobots. Revisions to the original standard have been planned by the ISO/TC 299 committee. They are expected to be released in 2021. ISO 10218-1:2011 specifies requirements and guidelines for the inherent safe design, protective measures and information for use of industrial robots. It describes basic hazards associated with robots and provides requirements to eliminate, or adequately reduce, the risks associated with these hazards. 2012-01-01 When ISO pub­lishes ISO 10218 – 2 in 2010 the rest of the cell safety require­ments should be covered in that document.
