D) T wave. The T wave represents ventricular repolarization. Generally, the T wave exhibits a positive deflection. The reason for this is that the last cells to depolarize in the ventricles are the first to repolarize.

Restoration of the resting polarized state in a muscle or nerve fibre. Polarization implies a balanced electrical charge on either side of the fibre membrane, being, in the resting state, negative on the inside and positive on the outside. In depolarization the charges are locally reversed. Repolarization heterogeneity (RH) is an intrinsic property of ventricular myocardium and the reason for T-wave formation on electrocardiogram (ECG). Exceeding the physiologically based RH level is associated with appearance of life-threatening ventricular arrhythmias and sudden cardiac death.

Repolarization of the rabbit cardiac ventricles after an increase of potassium concentration in the plasma @article{Azarov2008RepolarizationOT, title={Repolarization of the rabbit cardiac ventricles after an increase of potassium concentration in the plasma}, author={J. Azarov and N. L. Simakova and V. Vityazev and D. Shmakov}, journal In an electrocardiogram, the repolarization of the ventricles is represented by the: A) QRS wave. B) P wave.

The P wave corresponds to depolarization of the atria. Depolarization of the ventricles is represented on an electrocardiogram by the A) P wave. B) T wave. C) S wave. D) QRS complex.

14 Nov 2012 The purpose of this study was to investigate the beat-to-beat spatial and temporal variations of ventricular depolarization and repolarization in  30 Oct 2017 Atrial repolarization wave is usually not evident on the ECG as it has a low by the QRS complex and subsequent ventricular repolarization. The atria have smaller muscle mass than the ventricles. The P wave represents atrial depolarization, which is when the impulse spreads through the atria.

· Lesson  S wave: remaining left ventricle depolarizes. ST segment: time between ventricular depolarization & ventricular repolarization.

For this reason, it is necessary to conduct a competent diagnosis and systematic Ventricular repolarization is a complex electrical phenomenon which represents a crucial stage in electrical cardiac activity.

Effect of heart rate on ventricular repolarization in healthy

The mean electrical axis represents the sum of all of the mean electrical vectors occurring during ventricular depolarization. The mean electrical axis is depicted by a green arrow in the figure to the right, which shows the same instantaneous mean vectors as in the figure at the top of this page but superimposed upon the axial reference system. Early repolarization of the ventricles — electrocardiographic syndrome, reflected in the electrocardiogram in the form of a sawtooth end of the R-wave and to lift above the contour of the ST segment.

The T wave represents the repolarization of the ventricles and marks the beginning of ventricular relaxation.
